  1. Thank you for your wonderful comic strip. It’s the only comic strip that is intended for women my age. I am a happily single young looking 55 year old college educated and gainfully employed African American homeowner (whew!). I see myself in all of the “Between Friends” character’s, but I identify more with Mauve. Pretty, confident, physically fit, the type of woman guys young and old are always crushing on. But like Mauve I’m not interested in any of them (Don’t find your honey where you make your money!) , and absolutely love the freedom of being single. But I am looking forward to meeting that special someone to share my life with if it’s meant to be. Thank you Sandra.🙂 Your comic strip is a daily must read for me. Oh yeah, I noticed none of your husband’s cook or does laundry. That’s were my life and your characters lives differ. I wouldn’t give the time of day to a man who doesn’t cook or perform household duties. My dad was born in 1930, my mother 1936, and they shared the cooking and cleaning duties. My son’s father was a professional cook. My sister’s husband cooks and cleans. I wish some man would ask me after I came home from a long day at work “What’s for dinner?”. I have no idea what any of that is like. I come from three generations of women just like me. They never took orders from any man. They didn’t have to. They all had jobs. They had husband’s, but were way ahead of their time as far as gender roles were concerned. Keep up the great work! I’m a huge fan.
